Description of opportunity:

Who we are:

Cracking Good Food is a not-for-profit social enterprise working to increase food security and sustainability in Greater Manchester. Cracking Good Food was launched in 2010, to encourage and support more people to cook affordable, seasonal and nutritious homemade food from scratch; we also have various cooking endeavours in communities across Greater Manchester.

What we are looking for:

Are you available to help on Thursdays? Are you happy to spend a few minutes chatting to the folk you deliver to? Our Volunteer Drivers are more than just people who deliver meals for our NOSHH program (Nutritional Options-Staying Healthy at Home). They are a key part of our team and deliver directly to people at home, helping them to help themselves, into health.

What would we be doing:

Our drivers would be picking up pre-packaged fresh and frozen meals from EMERGE M11 2WJ, to distribute to individuals in the local community using your own vehicle. Our drivers need to be over 18 years old with a valid driving licence. Drivers will be compensated for petrol at 45 pence per mile.
