Coordinator

ReadEasy are a national charity that provides 1-1 coaching for adults with no to little reading abilities. Coaching is done in public venues such as libraries and community centres, and coaches work with the same reader throughout the programme.

The Manchester Central & North group are in need of several coordinators to help us expand and better support our existing coaches and readers. Our Coordinators play a vital role in ReadEasy by acting as a bridge between our readers and coaches; without them our coaches could do not the brilliant work that they do!

What You Will Be Doing:

• Receiving referrals and self-referrals as the first point of contact for those looking to improve their reading skills with us
• Meeting those referred to us in a public place to assess and enrol them
• Pairing readers with a trained reading coach and introducing the pair to each other
• Providing support to pairs as they work together through their ReadEasy journey

Coordinators go through the same training as our coaches to ensure that you are equipped with the same level of awareness and skills to assist with issues faced during the coaching process. 

What We Are Looking For:

• Patience, empathy, and non-judgemental approach
• Ability to use email and access to a laptop or computer.
• Availability to meet readers and coaches in the Manchester area
