Who we are:

Re-engage provides vital, life-enhancing social connections for older people at a time in their lives when their social circles are diminishing. 

As we get older, our social circles diminish, and we find ourselves with fewer and fewer people to turn to. Imagine realising one day that all your friends and family have gone from your life. Loneliness can be cruel, and it affects millions of people over 75 who live in social isolation.

Re-engage is making life less lonely for thousands of older people every year. Older people tell us that our volunteer-led activities make them happier and more able to trust others.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with administration skills, or someone who would like to improve their administration skills! 

The role requires references and a DBS check.

Volunteers will be required to attend an online induction, and complete online training before commencing the role.

What would you be doing as a volunteer?

In this rewarding role, you will use your administration skills to contact older people and volunteers by phone, organize a rota of volunteers, communicate with venues, and provide regular updates to Re-engage.

The volunteer will help to plan and organise the monthly social group for over 75s in Westhoughton.

The role is remote and involves phoning older people and volunteers to welcome them to the group, liaising with venues and maintaining contact with Re-engage.
