ALDI collection weekend 2024 volunteer

Who we are:

Budget Supermarket ALDI is hosting fundraising collection weekends to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The Teenage Cancer Trust fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS to help young people with cancer diagnoses through every step of their treatment - and up to 2 years afterwards - so that they can recover and live life to the full. They also provide events for young people to help them regain their independence, as well as provide easy-to-access information about every aspect of living with cancer as a young person. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people with: 

• A positive and friendly attitude
• Confidence engaging with members of the public
• Enthusiasm for the work of Teenage Cancer Trust
• Reliability and punctuality
• We do accept volunteers under the age of 18 if they bring a parent/guardian permission slip (the consent for young volunteers form is available on the website) Volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult

What would you be doing as a volunteer? 

• Collect donations from shoppers, raising essential funds for Teenage Cancer Trust
• Help raise awareness and engage the public with our work
• Be a friendly and approachable face of the charity 

What are the benefits of volunteering with us? 

• Support from a dedicated member of staff on the night
• Ultimately help Teenage Cancer Trust to make sure every young person with cancer gets the best care and support. 
• Travel expenses reimbursed in line with our volunteer expenses policy

Key information:

• When? Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May 2024  
• Shift times: 11am- 1pm and 1pm–3pm
• Where: ALDI stores in locations across the UK
