Join us for our October Community Explorers In-Person meet up, where we will be joined by the HDRC (Health Determinants Research Collaboration) Manchester core team.
Manchester has been awarded development year funding for 2024 to become a HDRC. HDRCs boost research capacity and capability within local government, and aim to embed a culture of always using evidence when making decisions. The collaborations use research findings to understand how decisions impact on health and health inequalities. They also carry out research where evidence isn’t already available. Manchester City Council and its academic partner, the University of Manchester, is currently undertaking a series of tasks to achieve their agreed HDRC development year milestones in preparation for becoming a ‘full’ 5-year HDRC in January 2025.
This is a very exciting opportunity to have your voice heard in the process of Manchester becoming a HDRC and spread the word about your organisation and how you could feed into this research initiative.
Come along to find out more and be a part of this exciting project, and network to make connections with organisations from across Manchester.
Plant-based lunch and refreshments will be provided!
