Our Manchester VCS Funding Programme Consultation

Registration is closed for this event

Our Manchester VCS Funding Consultation – Thursday 10th April 10-11:30am; Zoom

The Our Manchester Voluntary and Community Sector (OMVCS) was codesigned with the VCFSE sector and launched in 2017. It invests in VCFSE organisations to help achieve the priorities of the Our Manchester Strategy, funding core and activity costs over three years. Manchester City Council (MCC) is preparing to launch its 3rd round of OMVCS grants later this year, refining the application process and building on what works well.

Before launching the programme, MCC would like to consult with VCFSE organisations on some parts of the application process. On April 10th 10-11:30am, we are hosting a Zoom meeting with the Our Manchester Funds team where you will be able to hear more on the approach and share your experiences of applying for funding. The aim is to make the application process as smooth and clear as possible for eligible applicants.

The Our Manchester Funds team are looking for feedback on the following:

  1. What’s the best way to ask you about your organisation’s contribution to the new Our Manchester Strategy?

  1. What’s the best way to ask you about how you will use the funding?

  1. What’s the best way to ask you about your development plans?

  1. Should the requirements change for the large funding level?

Please note, that at this stage, the session will only be open to VCFSE organisations who:

  • would want to apply for funding to work with adults (may include family focused work) (adult is defined as a person aged 18 or over)

  • can evidence a strong connection to Manchester

  • have been delivering services to Manchester residents for a minimum of 18 months

  • is constituted or formalised with an agreed set of rules or governing document in place

  • have a bank account in the organisation’s name

  • have at least three trustees or directors who are not related to each other and are not paid shareholders

  • would be able to meet the fund’s due diligence requirements (including relevant policies, procedures and insurance)

If you would like to be a part of this conversation, please sign up here. Alternatively, email emily.mckinnell@macc.org.uk if you have any questions, require further information, or are unable to attend and would like to provide written feedback.
