Description: We assist by providing emergency food, clothing, furniture, training and further assistance where possible.

Our primary aim is to bring hope and support to those facing or fleeing Domestic Violence and to empower them to create a better life for themselves. We provide a safe space for people to share their lives and stories within a work-structured environment. Our flagship Training, Enterprise, Nurture (TEN) scheme supports over 70 persons a year to empower them in reskilling, emotional support and back on the ladder of employability. We also run various workshops in Mental Health and Domestic Abuse Awareness.
Services delivered: Training opportunities in retail, catering, van logistics, warehousing, I.T. and office
Decorating client homes and yard clean ups, enterprise training, food bank, furniture, clothing and bible discussion group.

Volunteering Opportunities

Opportunity title Summary
Volunteer Driver We were established in 2013 and are managed by people with the heart of bringing hope and healing to communities in Manchester and Greater Manchester suffering or fleeing domestic abuse. Now this is your opportunity for you to be part of it all. We provide services such as; furniture, clothing, food, household and electrical items, house moving to safety and training. We have a small shop front and container unit which provides additional warehousing.
Retail volunteers We were established in 2013 and are managed by people with the heart of bringing hope and healing to communities in Manchester and Greater Manchester suffering or fleeing domestic abuse. Now this is your opportunity for you to be part of it all. Are you the one?
Sewing Volunteers We are looking to help with the Openshaw Festival and need the local community if possible to come and volunteer their time 3 hours per session, 1 or 2 days a week for up to 4 weeks, to create colourful bunting to be displayed on the street and around the event area. If you have any sewing experience or would like to take part in this activity and meet and make new friends in a safe environment then come along and join in the fun.
Cafe Support Preparing dishes such as soup, salads, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and specials of the day, using donated food. We encourage persons from different backgrounds with varying cooking skills to bring a richness to our cafe.
Sorting Room Volunteer We are a registered charity that work with people and families who have fled domestic abuse and support them with rebuilding their lives. The support we offer takes form in various activities and provisions including our furniture project, we are looking for help in our sorting area, receiving donations, sorting through them and allocating them to the correct projects or clients. We directly support individuals, other charity organisations and refuges around Greater Manchester.
