Pankhurst Centre Gardener As a women’s community centre it provides and offers space for activities and events run by women, for women. It offers a unique place in which women can learn together, work on projects and socialise. It is a vibrant centre that hosts a number of women’s organisations and projects that support women, thus continuing the struggle that the Suffragettes began, fighting for women’s rights, all those years ago.
Pankhurst Centre Heritage Volunteer As front of house volunteers are the public face of the museum, they play a vital role in projecting a positive image to visitors and act as a point of contact for visitors to provide information and answer any questions. There is a degree of flexibility around the role, and we are happy to discuss this with people interested in volunteering. What are we looking for? We need front of house volunteers (full training provided) and also volunteers to work on our Archiving project and also to do research for us. We pay out of pocket expenses and offer support and on-going training.
Volunteer Play workers for Manchester Women's Aid Manchester Women's Aid is looking for Volunteer Play workers to assist staff who offer play sessions to children who have experienced or been affected by Domestic abuse. Appropriate training and support will be offered along with reimbursement of out of pocket expenses. A full enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
Pankhurst Centre Gardener The birthplace of the Suffragette movement, now houses a small museum and heritage centre. We need volunteer to offer some time on a weekly basis if possible to maintain and look after the garden.
Pankhurst Centre Heritage Museum Volunteer We encompasses a small museum and heritage centre and a women’s community centre that provides activities and events run by women, for women. The Heritage museum is completely reliant on volunteers! We need volunteers to help as tour guides, letting visitors in and being available to answer any questions visitors may have to ensure the visitors have a pleasurable and informative visit. The museum is open on Thursdays and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.
Volunteer Play workers We support those affected by Domestic abuse. We have a play service which offers play sessions to children over the age of 5 who have experienced or been affected by Domestic abuse.We are looking for volunteers to help our Play Workers deliver play sessions on a weekly basis. Due to the nature of the work the opportunity is open to females only.
The Pankhurst Trust Drop In Volunteer Can you help to provide a safe and stimulating environment for women to meet, take part in activities if interested, share healthy food and socialise?
Volunteer Play Worker To have a playful disposition and a good sense of humour. To be able to follow a child’s lead and not lead a child’s play. To be a good listener. To have an awareness of the needs of different cultures and religions. To have an awareness of the impact of domestic violence on children.
Admin Support Volunteer We have launched a coaching project for women. It is in its initial phase with the next phase to be launched in November. The project is delivered by volunteers.
Pankhurst Museum Volunteer Pankhurst Museum are looking for volunteers to inspire and engage visitors to the museum - the home of the Pankhurst family and the site of the first meeting of the Suffragettes.
