People Support Growing Together Levenshulme is a volunteer-led gardening project aimed at providing a therapeutic environment for asylum seekers, refugees and others in a similar situation. It provides a place to learn about growing food, engage with nature, socialise, and
both give and receive support. The project attracts many regular participants. The garden operates on vegan-organic principles, promoting permaculture and wildlife conservation.
Gardening Facilitator The purpose of this role at Growing Together Levenshulme is to support the smooth running of gardening activities at the project and as a member of the wider ‘caretakers’ team. We all also share the tasks of making the sessions run smoothly, for example, setting up and tidying the garden, helping set up before sessions, organising tea and coffee, opening the main gate, taking out tables, and helping to tidy up after.
