Description: Baltic Society is all about educating people and building a stronger relationship between Lithuanians, Estonians and Latvians. Our activities range from political debates regarding current Baltic as well as worldwide issues to fruitful lectures with guest speakers. Apart from educational activities, we are also organising cultural events, such as movie and poetry nights for everyone who are interested in the Baltic region or simply want to broaden their horizons. This year all three Baltic states are celebrating 100 years of independence and our society has developed a fascinating programme to take part in celebrations held by Baltic people around the world. In March, we are having a week full of various events dedicated to Baltics 100. We would like to invite guest speakers and organise lectures and debates on Baltic political issues. Furthermore, apart from organising cultural evenings such as Baltic movie, poetry and dance nights, we will be introducing our regional food to show the best aspects of our culture. The interest among students so far has been great and we are sure that the Baltics 100 week will be a delightful event and very important in terms of promoting our region. We are hoping that the Baltics 100 will be a sound start to something bigger in the future as our vision is to grow and expand our community at the national level.
