Description: Wise Steps project will deliver a service to children and families in Manchester. The organisation will help children and their families. We want to provide suplementary education for them during after school, week end and during school holidays. We will help young children with their homework and also keep them away from the streets. As youth crime is at its pick, we want to sensitise children from their young age, to be secured after school instead of being exposed to crime. As for their families, we would like to provide a friendly area where they can spend time; they can get help with contacting other services, family mediation, concealing and personal development. We will give them tips on how to face challenges.
The aim of Wise Steps is
-to support young people, adults, and families from a diverse range of communities to access education, training, and employment.
-Working towards the social inclusion of young people through the provision of education and training.
- Providing an employability and enterprise training programme involving Not in Employment, Education or Training) young people
- Providing a mediation service to help young people and their families to resolve conflict within the home and school…
- Supporting and motivating, Education or Training young people to positively improve their social lives.
Wise Steps' approach is to provide a holistic service particularly for young people who are at risk of falling out of the education system with little or no qualification, in particular those at risks of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Wise Steps aims to provide early intervention and preventative measures.
