Description: The hire of wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility scooters to the disabled (whether the disability is permanent or temporary) to enable them to visit Manchester City Centre and be independently mobile. Sales of mobility spares and accessories. We also train, and issue the official permits to, people who want to take their own mobility scooter on the Metrolink.

Opportunity title Summary
Treasurer We are a charity based in the Arndale Centre in Manchester. We are open seven days a week and maintain a fleet of wheelchairs and mobility scooters which we hire to disabled members and visitors who need help getting around the Arndale and the centre of Manchester. We also sell new and second-hand scooters and wheelchairs and other disability aids. We need a Treasurer who can use Quicken to manage our accounts i.e. prepare invoices, pay bills, volunteer expenses etc. Hours to suit.
Hire Assistant Working at our base in the Arndale Centre. Dealing with bookings and enquiries, registering hires, checking hire equipment out and on return, some retail sales, handling cash and card transactions. Shift system. Opportunity to develop equipment servicing skills. Opportunity to become involved in Harry Potter retail sales/fundraising.
