The Macmillan Cancer information and support service, Wythenshawe Hospital offers information and support for people affected by cancer and also support for families. The centre has many support facilities to help with the impact of cancer, with ability to link in and signpost to many other professionals and organisations when appropriate
The service provides information about all aspects of cancer, finance and benefits advice and support, counselling( for Wythenshawe/Withington hospital patients affected by cancer)living with and after cancer courses and support, family, children and friends support, signposting to other sources of support, complementary therapies, health and well being activities with Macmillan Connections-such as walking, craft and chat, gardening etc
Most of all we can offer time to listen, time to talk and time to make sense of it all

all main languages and we have access to interpreters and information in other formats eg CD, Braille, larger fonts, easy read etc
During 2020 and Covid 19 restrictions we have adapted all services accordingly with safety in mind-therefore telephone and digital service are fully open and face to face services have been responding as guidance suggests.
