Where do they work?: City-Wide
Registered charity number: 1185267
Description: The Maggie Oliver Foundation's vision is clear: to create a society where survivors of childhood sexual abuse are empowered to live fulfilled and successful lives, and where every survivor is treated with dignity, respect and as an equal and valued member of society.

Its aim is to help survivors to transform the pain of their abuse into power, by being supported to identify their strengths, adopt constructive coping strategies, and create and embrace positive life chances.

It also campaigns to ensure the criminal justice system is fit for purpose in achieving justice that survivors deserve.
Services delivered: We work alongside adult survivors of child sexual abuse in a variety of ways including through our listening ear Pain into Power phoneline, advocating for them through any legal process, referring to other services and through trauma-focussed group therapy. Our phoneline was established in January 2021. Through this unique offer, each survivor is matched with a trained volunteer who provides 1:1 telephone support throughout their engagement. We believe that mutual support and visible thriving of fellow survivors can be a catalyst for change. Approximately 40% of our current volunteer and staff team have identified themselves as survivors.
