Newleaf Foundation
Newleaf Foundation
Newleaf Foundation exists to promote social inclusion, reduce food poverty and improve mental wellbeing through creative activities. Our target group is residents aged 65+ years old, though we will operate an open-door policy and signpost residents to other services/partners where appropriate. We hold weekly Coffee Mornings and have developed close relationships with our attendees who are experiencing stress and feelings of isolation & loneliness. During our Coffee mornings we respond to our attendees increasing need for practical help with food costs & more intensive mental health support by referring onto the relevant service providers. During our sessions we provide a warm space to be in, light refreshments, opportunities for socialising & making connections, participating in recreational, creative & skills-based activities. This is located at Church of the Resurrection & St Barnabas off Grey Mare Lane. We provide people attending with a nutritious hot meal and good company.
