Description: Chorlton Bike Deliveries has at its heart social value. Born in the period of lockdown as a community rooted initiative responding to the needs of people struggling to manage in the face of shortage of goods and ill-health, and local traders struggling to survive. From the outset we have prioritised our community work, supporting charities, food banks and help for individuals.
We have a track record approaching three years of delivering samples for the NHS. We currently pick up samples from 30 GP practices daily, as well as moving samples between local hospital sites.
As a not-for-profit, cooperative organisation, we believe strongly in our riders and members having equal say and the opportunity to contribute to the development of the organisation, from our forming in 2020, our progress to date has been remarkable due in large part to the contributions from our staff and supporters, many voluntary including our current Directors.
