Description: Gorton Imagination Library (working name Manchester Imagination Library) is a book-gifting project which was launched in 2015 and is affiliated to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library but is a stand-alone charity. A free, high quality, age-appropriate book is posted every single month to children in their own home from birth to age 5 years, with the aim of:

• Encouraging a love of reading for pleasure.
• Increasing the frequency of reading in the home.
• Supporting the development of early literacy skills
• Supporting the children to be ready for school
Services delivered: We act as a local group under the banner of the Dollywood Foundation's Imagination Library www.imaginationlibrary.com/uk . We work with schools, children's centres and other local early years providers to engage families in early literacy through the provision of free books to children from birth to 5 years.
