Description:
Community Learning Centre is a place where people can access information or support to a range of organisations or services to assist with their general health, wellbeing and day to day lifestyles. The Community Learning Centre is also a setting where many people gather to meet and form friendships. We currently run a weekly food bank, an over 50’s Community Session, a IGT group as well as we run weekly one to one by appointment support sessions
Services delivered:
We provide structured and semi-structured activities for young people and single parents that have a variety of purposes, many of which help tackle some of Newton Health’s most challenging issues. Activities are tailored to; encourage socialising in a fun and safe environment, improve health and wellbeing, develop opportunities for learning and personal growth, provide guidance and support, conduct diversionary activities, and enable access to resources
