Description: Wood Street Mission is a children's charity that supports families from Manchester and Salford who are struggling to make ends meet. We offer practical help with everyday items.
Services delivered: We provide clothing, baby equipment, bedding, school uniform, Christmas and Easter gifts and food at Christmas and Easter to local families living in poverty in Manchester and Salford. We also provide educational support through Book Clubs held during school holidays. We have paid staff and volunteers for various roles within this and we use corporate volunteers on an occasional basis at busy times such as Christmas.
