Description: The charity’s objects (“Objectives”) are specifically restricted to the following:
(a) To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in England who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin (in particular, members of the Eastern Sudan community) to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, by:
• Provide a local network group that encourages and enables members of the Eastern Sudan community to participate more effectively with the wider.
• increasing, or co-ordinating, opportunities for members of the Eastern Sudan community to engage with service providers to enable those providers to adapt services to better meet the needs of that community.
(b) To facilitate educational programs aimed at teaching the history of East Sudan and its heritage to members and their children, bridging generational gaps, and preventing the extinction of ancient Afro-Asiatic languages through documentation and collaboration with other cultural groups.
(c) The promotion of racial harmony for the public benefit by:
• promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different social groups in Eastern Sudan residing in the UK.
(d) To promote and develop educational programs for the public benefit, focusing on the cultural heritage and civilization of the Beja people, which dates back over 5,000 years.
(e) To facilitate partnerships and collaborations for the public benefit with various cultural groups to promote cross-cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and documentation of diverse cultural heritages.

Opportunity title Summary
Volunteer Youth Football Coach Join ESCA-UK's 'Youth Active Heritage & Football Project', proudly funded by Sport England and The National Lottery! We are seeking enthusiastic Volunteer Youth Football Coaches to help deliver weekly football sessions for children aged 5–16 from culturally diverse backgrounds in Manchester. You will assist with warm-ups, skill drills, and mini-matches in a safe, inclusive environment. The commitment is 2 hours every Sunday for our 40-week programme starting July 2026. In return, we offer a highly rewarding package including valuable career-building experience and skill development. An Enhanced DBS check will be fully paid for and provided by the charity. Be a positive role model and help empower Manchester's youth!
Volunteer Pitch-Side First Aider The Eastern Sudan Community Association is seeking a dedicated volunteer welfare and first aid assistant for our Youth Active Heritage & Football Project.

You will help keep 60 children and young people (aged 5-16) safe on a local 3G pitch in South/Central Manchester. The role requires 1.5 to 2 hours of commitment every Sunday.
