Description: At Salford Community Upskilling CIC, we aim to support migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who have English as a second language and anyone else in our community who faces digital barriers. These barriers, with many others, such as poverty or unemployment, massively affect these people access services like healthcare, education, employment and more. These challenges have huge consequences on these population, and can lead to stress, depression and anxiety.
We support these people by offering them English language and digital skills sessions to enable them communicate, make friends, access services, and integrate into society. We also care about their health and wellbeing and try to alleviate their stress by offering them a space to socialise, where they feel that they belong, without being judged.
