Ghyll Head Outdoor Education and Activity Centre is owned by Manchester City Council and based in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
We offer Outdoor Activity courses for schools, youth groups and community groups from Manchester and elsewhere.
We have access to Lake Windermere from our Boathouse and 17 acres of private grounds including a large lawn and an ancient oak woodland. We have several accommodation options including a House sleeping up to 60, an accessible Bungalow for up to 29 and a POD Village for 40.
The activities we offer include Canoeing, climbing, gorge scrambling, mountain walks, ropes course, campfire and more.
