About REELMCR
REELMCR is not just a cultural organisation — it’s a lifeline, a launchpad, and a legacy-maker. For 25 years, REELMCR have brought art, film, theatre and storytelling into the heart of working-class communities across Greater Manchester — communities often overlooked, underfunded, and underestimated. REELMCR’s work welcomes people into the cultural life of the city who may never have felt like it was “for them” — and then goes even further, helping them find their voice, their confidence, and their future within it.
Our community-led approach builds trust and long-term relationships. People don’t just take part in one project — they return again and again, growing with the organisation, supporting others, and often going on to lead in the cultural sector themselves.
