Youth on Solid Ground is a non for profit voluntary organisation that has been working with young people in the Manchester inner city areas for several years, but formalised this service in March 2009.
Our aim is to help support the community, especially young people to participate in activities to develop integration, community cohesion and social inclusion. We support the young people’s social development through social, sports, recreational and educational activities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.
We have vast knowledge of the complexities of the community and provide cultural and religious consultation/awareness regarding family and community issues around anti-social behaviour (ASB), gang culture, domestic violence, force marriage, mental health, honour based violence and family dynamics.
We support the social development and interaction of young people in the local community by developing their citizenship skills to help improve their quality of life e.g.: increasing their knowledge and awareness regarding their rights, responsibilities and expectations
All youth and community workers and volunteers are CRB checked to enhanced level.

We have a range of spaces available for hire, subject to availability.
These include an outdoor PlayZone suitable for children’s activities and community events, a community indoor space/hall that can be used for meetings, training sessions, workshops, and events, and a health and fitness suite (Gym) suitable for exercise classes, wellbeing activities, and small group sessions.

Cash donations:
Cash donations can be made to our organisation's administrator, finance officer and manager. We are happy to provide an invoice or receipt for all donations received.
If preferred, donors can also make a cash donation in person by prior arrangement. All donations are recorded in line with our financial procedures.

Non-cash donations:
Non-cash donations, such as goods, equipment, services, or pro bono support, can be made by prior arrangement to ensure they align with our needs and capacity. Donors are encouraged to contact us in advance to discuss suitability, logistics, and any relevant requirements.
Financial donations that are not made in cash can also be made by bank transfer or, if the donor is visiting the centre, via our card payment machine. Where appropriate, we can provide written confirmation or a receipt, and all donations are recorded in line with our policies and procedures.
