Indian Senior Citizens Centre
This is a BME Voluntary organisation based in Whalley Range in South Central Manchester. This provides culturally sensitive Day Resources services including Basic Day Care, Preventative Health Services, Rehabilatation Services, Leisure and Entertainment, Luncheon Club, Meals on Wheels, and Trips for Indian Older People of city wide Manchester and surrounding areas. This provides transport to and from the centre and services for carers.
Music and singing on Monday, Yoga classes on Wednesday and Chair bases exercise on Thursdays from 12.15 to 1.15. After that our members has Indian vegetarian meal and than spend time in their on group playing Bingo, Cards, Chopat etc. We also Celebrate all Indian and British festivals e.g. Navratri, Diwali, Independence Day, Republic day, Christmas etc. Summer time do day trips which helps our elderly people mentally and physically well being.
We have our own 2 minibus which picks and drops our members if there are within reach area.

What ever services we are offering normally, people are quite happy doing the same activities as its only three days a week. Even just coming and socializing with other people is more than enough for them rather than sitting at home on their own.
