Description: The Civic Society champions the past, present and future of Manchester, particularly in relation to the city centre. We organise a programme of walks, talks and visits, publish Forum, our widely-circulated newspaper, and comment on plans for redevelopment of the City and of key buildings. We sometimes challenge the Council and sometimes support them in trying to make Manchester an even better place for everyone to live, work and play in.
