Opportunity title Summary
Destitution Supplies Organiser This opportunity involves supporting asylum seekers and refugees who are going through periods of destitution, helping us to provide food and toiletries for individuals and families.
Reception and Drop-in Support Volunteers will staff the reception desk at our drop-in for refugees and asylum seekers in Salford. They will help to ensure the drop-in runs smoothly, welcoming clients and supporting them to access services.

Volunteers may also help to support our advice service, by assisting clients with tasks such as filling in forms, finding information or using computers.
Catering Volunteer We are looking for volunteers to help us provide a hot meal to clients at out drop-in for refugees and asylum seekers on Wednesdays in Salford.

The role will involve preparing, cooking and serving food, as well as helping to clear up afterwards.

Advice Drop-in Support Volunteer Support our advice workers at our drop-in for refugees and asylum seekers in Gorton.

Volunteers will assist clients with tasks such as filling in forms, finding information and using computers. They will help to ensure the drop-in runs smoothly, welcoming clients and supporting them to access services.
Catering Volunteer We are looking for reliable volunteers to help staff to cook and serve a hot meal for local refugees & asylum seekers at our drop-ins in Manchester and Salford. This role would be ideal for anyone wishing to gain catering experience, or just get more involved in the local community. Previous cooking experience or interest is desirable but not required. The role will involve preparing, cooking and serving food, as well as helping to clear up afterwards. This is a fun and rewarding role, and you would be helping us to provide a very valuable service for members of the local community. Ideally volunteers should be available between 10am & 3pm on one day each week. Travel expenses and lunch are provided.
Volunteer ESOL Tutor This role would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience in the field of teaching ESOL, or alternatively simply looking to contribute to the local community and a worthy cause.
Volunteer Administrator Rainbow Haven is a community organisation that provides advice and support to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants. We are looking for someone to join our friendly team as a volunteer administrator. This role would involve various tasks to support the staff team, including inputting data, filing, photocopying, creating letters and posters, and answering the phone. This role would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience of this type of work. We work in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, and the volunteering hours are flexible. Travel expenses are paid and full support will be provided.
Digital Skills Volunteer We are a centre in Gorton supporting local residents, many of whom are refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Our drop-in is often quite busy, but the organisation is a friendly, fun and laid-back place to volunteer. This role aims to enable clients to gain basic skills and increase confidence in using email, Microsoft word, searching the internet and saving work.

This role aims to enable clients to identify their existing skills and experiences, which jobs to apply for, and improve their knowledge and skills in regard to job descriptions, person specifications, good quality application forms, CVs and covering letters.
