Description: <p>The Lesbian Community Project which is based in Manchester is the only full time lesbian only organisation in the North West.</p>
<p>Our aim is to: Address the imbalance in society, which causes lesbians and bisexual women to suffer prejudice and inequality. Homophobia coupled with sexism is experienced by lesbians and bisexual women in various ways, including discrimination, isolation, harassment and low self-esteem.</p>
<p>We aim to tackle this through reducing isolation, providing specific services for lesbian and bisexual women, working with mainstream organisations to become more lesbian friendly and to address and serve the specific needs of the lesbian and bisexual community.</p>
<p>We currently support and provide a range of social and support groups run by and for lesbian and bisexual women.</p>
