Description: The Jesuit Volunteer Community provides fully funded opportunities for volunteers aged 18 – 35 from Britain and overseas to work in British inner cities for a year, or for a month during the summer.
JVC volunteers work with people on the margins of UK society - people who are homeless, refugees and asylum seekers, disabled, excluded from education or at risk in other ways.
Volunteers live in community, commit to a simple lifestyle, and participate in a development programme of residential workshops and other events during the year to explore JVC’s four values: social justice, simple lifestyle, spirituality and community.
