Description: Irish Community Care exists to identify and respond to the needs of both the Irish and Irish Traveller communities across Manchester. working together to build a thriving and resilient Irish and wider community, fully engaged in life within Manchester. We offer a range of front-line information, advice and outreach support services including welfare benefits advice and advocacy, support around homelessness, seeking more appropriate accommodation, poor health, drug or alcohol misuse, cultural and social isolation. We also facilitate activities and groups to enrich and grow our community against isolation and loneliness.
Services delivered: Welfare Benefits, Housing Rights, Debt Advice, Irish and English Pensions, DLA/PIPS, passport application forms, Alcohol and Mental Health issues.
"Forgotton Irish", reaching out to people lost in the system through hospitalisation, residential or nursing care.Working closely with hospital bereavement services, police and services in Ireland for those with no next of kin.
