Description: Our mission is to help people across the Diocese of Salford experiencing poverty, disadvantage and discrimination to transform their lives with dignity.

We provide a practical response to those in crisis, suffering hardship or who are at risk. We rebuild lives for the long-term, enabling people to live in a safe, healthy and secure environment.

We call for a better, more just world, where the voices of the poor are heard and acted upon and we positively influence the systems, decisions and resources that affect those in need.
Services delivered: Caritas has over 20 social welfare services in Greater Manchester and East Lancashire, mostly organised as community projects. They can be summarised into 5 need areas: Homelessness & Housing, Refugee Response, Older People Services, Children and Families and Community Services.

Resettlement Volunteers Caritas Diocese of Salford is leading the Afghan Welcome Project, a partnership initiative supporting the safe and legal resettlement of 125 Afghan households in the North West UK and nearby areas over the next five years.

Caritas Diocese of Salford is looking for community groups and volunteers to support with this mission, securing housing, help families access English classes, healthcare etc.
