Description: The Portland Club is a Volunteer-led activities-based club for girls between the ages of 7 and 10. We meet locally once a fortnight and do a huge variety of different things - sports, craft, drama and dance, art, cookery. Girls from the age of 12 upwards can join as Young Volunteers and help from Mothers of the girls is happily received. We look to build up character, encourage girls to form new and lasting friendships with others from different backgrounds, religions, schools, cultures and generally have a great time whilst learning new skills in an enjoyable way. We operate in the Longsight/Levenshulme and Ardwick areas but any girl who can get to the Portland Centre (Plymouth Grove) is welcome to come along.
