Description: The Federation of Jewish Services (The Fed) has been providing outstanding advice, support and care services for people of all ages living in the Jewish and local community in Greater Manchester since 1867.

Our services aim to reduce social inequalities, improve health and wellbeing, and reduce financial hardship. The support aims to tackle issues such as poverty, neglect, ill health and abuse.

The muti-dimensional nature of these problems requires a focused yet holistic approach. through skilled intervention to ensure people can maintain their independence, dignity and well-being and enjoy a better quality of life, free from harm and valued as part of our community.

Our organisation strives to create and support a community where people can live life to the full, feeling safe, valued and cared for. At any time, we support one in seven Jewish households across Greater Manchester.

We support people of all ages who are living with physical conditions or underlying health issues, people who are lonely, isolated/living alone, people who are elderly and frail, people with mental health conditions, carers, people experiencing domestic violence or sexual abuse or children with complex health conditions and additional needs.

Our 350 social workers, support workers, case workers, nurses, social care workers, coordinators and behind the scenes staff, together with over 550 volunteers, provide care, advice and support through a range of projects and departments.

Our services include; Carers' Support Services, Community Advice and Support team (CAST), Community groups for adults, Day care, Dementia care, Discharge to assess Department (D2A), End of life Care, Moorview Supported Independent Living, Mums 'n' Tots Sessions, My Voice project, Nursing Care, Project Smile Play & Learn Service, Residential Care, Volunteer Support Services and Walk and Talk.
Services delivered: The Fed delivers a range of social care services including mental health support, carer’s respite breaks, community café, Children’s centre, as well as independent living, residential and nursing care, volunteer services, end of life/hospice care and dementia support.
