It’s Monday 25th July 2016, we hope you all had a great weekend.
It’s the start of the School Summer Holidays and hopefully we get the sunshine to match!
Talking of summer, everyone is in a great mood and this is the time of the year where you can find lots of fun activities, festivals, summer fairs, and carnivals to get involved with.
For most of these events to go ahead they are heavily reliant on volunteers getting involved. If you have a few days off over the summer and have some spare time, there are lots of volunteering opportunities that are available for you.
Here are just a few of them, and to kick things off we have:
Wythenshawe Games. Now in its fifth year, Wythenshawe Games is Manchester’s largest community sports festival, taking place over five days in and around Wythenshawe and centering on the beautiful and historic Wythenshawe Park and Hall.
Manchester Pride also takes place between Friday 26th – Monday 29th August, and there's a whole host of roles available for you to get your teeth stuck in to!
Manchester Jazz Festival, 22-31st July (Still time to get involved) There are all kinds of roles available and there is no limit on how much or how little time you can volunteer, it is open to everyone with all levels of experience.
Manchester Mega Mela, 30th – 31st July is the largest celebration of South Asian Culture in the North of England. Music, dance, food and traditional arts and crafts bring the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia to Platt Fields Park each year. The Mela is a two day fun-filled event.
5K Family Run (Alexandra Park) 21st August 2016. Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to help give runners a lift with some positive attitude and some refreshment at a 5k Family Community Fun Run in Alexandra Park.
For more information on any of the above or to find out about more opportunities happening over the summer get in contact with us at email@example.com or give us a ring on 0161 830 4770 and we’ll happy to help out! (These details apply in general for any volunteering queries you may have.)
Thanks for reading, enjoy the summer and we’ll speak to you soon.
