LGBT Foundation – we celebrate and empower our diverse communities to realise their full potential, every day. Our services and activities are a lifeline for those in need, offering support to help hope and joy flourish in our communities. Our vision is a world where queer liberation creates meaningful change and a fairer society for us all.
TransForum Manchester – TransForum Manchester is a Trans discussion group and mutual peer support forum for all Transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people and those in any way questioning their gender, together with their partners, family, friends and allies.
Trans Mutual Aid Manchester –Trans Mutual Aid is a Trans-led organisation that provides support, advice and a sense of community for Trans and non-binary people in Manchester, working closely with groups and individuals whose identity intersects with another minoritised and underrepresented group.
BiPhoria – BiPhoria facilitate support for bisexual, bi-curious and anyone who identifies as bi by providing a space for individuals to discuss their experiences. They hold monthly zoom meetings with roughly around 15 attendees, to open discuss the bi experience and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
LISG – Lesbian Immigration Support Group support bisexual and lesbian women asylum seekers and refugees, providing emotional and practical support for any issues that those who identify as lesbian or bisexual asylum seekers.
The Proud Trust – The Proud Trust is an LGBT+ youth charity empowering young people to be proud of who they are. The Proud Trust delivers youth work and one-to-one support across Greater Manchester. The charity also runs a national training and inclusion programme for schools, Proud Connections Live Chat, and manages Manchester’s LGBT+ Centre, The Proud Place.
African Rainbow Family – African Rainbow Family (ARF) is the leading national Experts by Experience and grassroots LGBTIQ+ charity that campaigns for and supports LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum of African heritage and the Global Majority in the UK.
George House Trust – George House Trust provides support for people living with HIV in Manchester, offering one-to-one and group support in any questions, issues or hardships someone diagnosed with HIV may experience. They provide support in relation to knowledge and understanding of HIV, emotional wellbeing, managing sex and relationships, financial hardship, housing, children or employment, for example.
Albert Kennedy Trust – we exist to give LGBTQ+ young people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness or a hostile living environment the support they need to thrive. Coming out or being outed as LGBTQ+ can still lead to young people being made homeless.
Queer Lit – an award winning, independent bookshop located on Manchester’s Great Ancoats Street, aimed at highlighting Queer literature that represents the full spectrum of the community, of which is often underrepresented in mainstream media discourses.
Sparkle – a national transgender charity best known for organising the annual Sparkle Weekend in Manchester, which aims to celebrate the transgender community. The event claims to be the world's largest transgender event.
Manchester Parents Group – Manchester Parents Group is a voluntary organisation which supports families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT). We are all parents of lesbian, gay and bisexual sons and daughters and understand the confusion and questions you may have when you first found out your child is lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
Rainbow Noir – we are committed to creating a space of our own, places to feel safe, where LGBTQI people of colour can meet, hang out, form friendships and find community. We facilitate a bi-monthly social space in person and a lively WhatsApp group chat.
