The 2026 Charity Digital Skills Report survey – Shape the future of digital in the charity sector

The survey wants to know how (and if) your organisation is embracing digital. This encompasses digital tools, technology and AI. Embracing digital is about the skills, strategy, leadership, governance, funding and investment you are developing, in order to use online tools, technology and AI effectively. This also includes your efforts to put people at the heart of your services and operations.

Use this survey to help you and your team

  • Reflect on your organisation’s digital progress and what is holding you back
  • Learn about different areas of digital
  • Identify ways you can move forward
  • You can opt in to receive a copy of your responses and the resources shared at the end of this survey.

Who should take the survey
Take this survey on behalf of one organisation you work for, volunteer for, or consult for

  • Your organisation must be based in the UK
  • And a non-profit of any kind (e.g. charity, social enterprise, voluntary organisation)
  • You just need to be familiar with digital work and plans in your organisation
  • You can consult with colleagues or make it a team exercise (no technical knowledge required).

Prize draw – £300 unrestricted funding for registered charities
If your organisation is a registered charity, you could win one of five prizes of unrestricted funding of £300. All you need to do is complete the survey and opt in at the end.

Prize draw – A free Communications Course from Media Trust
You could win one of ten prizes for a free place on one of Media Trust’s Communications Courses (usually from £36 per person). Choose from a range of practical sessions designed for charity professionals. Topics could include AI for charity marketers, creating online resources, building communities with WhatsApp, email marketing, SEO and more. Prize places are valid on courses up to five hours in duration.
