British Red Cross offers Free First Aid courses for youth groups

25 Apr 2014 - 09:53 by michelle.foster

The 'Everyday First Aid' course is easy to learn, easy to remember and designed to increase young people's willingness to help in an emergency.

Skills covered include the ones young people most commonly need to use:
• Helping someone who's bleeding
• Helping someone who has a burn
• Helping someone who's choking
• Helping someone who is unconscious and breathing

The sessions can be adapted for your group's needs.

The British Red Cross are aiming to target the young people who would benefit the most from their sessions, so if your young people are at increased risk from factors such as binge drinking, drug misuse or knife crime.

The courses are run for groups, at their venue and at a time and date that suits them.

For further information and to arrange a course email Jessica Carmichael, Youth and Schools Project Manager, at: [email protected]
