CAN Do Creatives – Free training for unemployed creatives

canCAN is currently offering free training sessions for unemployed artists, creatives and community leaders using the arts. The training is for people who are taking their first steps into a career in the arts in the UK. CAN especially welcome applications from refugees, women, people aged 50+, young people aged 19 or over, disabled people, and those who have significant barriers to employment.

Sessions can take place over the phone or through video-calls using Zoom or WhatsApp, and will be delivered one-to-one and in groups.

To take part you must be:

  • Aged 19 or over
  • Living in Greater Manchester
  • Unemployed and in receipt of full universal credit, or have no income of your own
  • Have permission to work in the UK
  • Not in full time education

Places will be given based on the strength of your creative work, whether the training is a good fit for your needs, and the eligibility requirements.

You can apply at any time before 31 July 2020, but places are limited so the sooner you apply, the more chance you have of getting a place.
