Change lives – charity apprentice course

Charity Apprentice is a course packed full of bite-sized online tasks and practical challenges you do at your own pace. You’ll see how charities work and spend up to a month in Africa learning how your efforts change lives.

Overview
Instinctively people feel they understand what charity is, what it does and why it is so important. However, the complicated ways the third sector can work, the different models and the widespread myths that surround the topic can make it hard to get it clear.

When most people first volunteer or get a job with, a charity there's no real training around these issues. Charity Apprentice think everyone should have a good general level of understanding from the beginning.

There are six modules:
• Introduction
• Fundraising
• Social enterprise
• The issues
• In the field
• Communication and brand

Cost
Pay in full - Pay £700 by 1 December. No other payments required for the duration of the course.

Pay monthly - Pay £160 by 1 December. Then £80 per month January-August 2015, total £800.

Without Africa trip - Pay £500, for the full course excluding the trip to Africa. This can be paid in full or with a £140 deposit then £45 per month January-August 2015.

What the cost covers
• All online course content
• Support from experts in the sector
• A two-week or month-long stay in Kenya or Tanzania from July - August which includes:
o Accommodation
o Food
o Airport transfers from Nairobi
o Training on arrival
o All transport during the trip
o Security costs
o Conference pass with leading professionals
o Social activities
o Assistance and support from KOP throughout
o End of trip party
o A yearbook of your trip
o A certificate of Distinction, Merit or Pass
