Applications for funding are invited from registered charities, CICs and voluntary organisations which work with disadvantaged people for any reason, sick, infirm or living in poverty within the Greater Manchester area.
Applications are welcomed from all organisations however the priority at the moment is to support organisations that have experience, and a proven track record, of delivering projects dealing with homelessness, reducing social isolation, improving access to employment and providing emergency support to vulnerable families/children.
Grants applications will be assessed on the community impact, sustainability, outcomes and budgetary detail.
The average grant award is £1,000, in exceptional circumstances larger grants, up to a maximum of £3,000, may be considered.
The Charity Service would not normally fund an organisation that has been registered for less than 3 years.
