Your second opportunity to apply for funding from the Cheetham Community First programme will run from the 11 February 2013, with all applications to be received by midday on 28 February 2013.
This is a matched funding programme, which means that every £1 provided in funding must be matched by a similar amount of in-kind donations (this means donations of cash, services, free products or volunteer time). The fund is to assist not for profit, voluntary and community groups to develop exciting projects which meet Cheetham’s ward priorities.
Priorities for Cheetham Communities First Funding
• Children and Young People (particularly projects engaging 14-25 year old age group)
• Environment, waste and recycling
• Employment, Skills and Enterprise
• Healthy Living
• Faith, Culture and Cohesion
The minimum grant that can be awarded is £250 and the maximum is £2500.
There is a Cheetham Community First funding panel which includes a local resident, business, faith, voluntary, public sector and council representative. This group will meet shortly after the 28 February to discuss which applications will be recommended for funding.
