Community Led Approaches Programme

20 Nov 2020 - 11:16 by michelle.foster

vru & 10GMThe Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) have commissioned 10GM to deliver a programme of work around community-led approaches. The first two Pilot areas are Bolton covering the area of New Bury and in Manchester covering Moss Side, Rusholme and Hulme.

Community engagement has been taking place since July 2020. The community lead has been consulting with the community and also public sector services supporting both communities.

We now have an Expression of Interest (EOI) for an alliance approach. This will bring together an alliance of organisations/community groups who can offer solutions to the priorities set out in the Expression of Interest. Find out more here

Join us for a briefing on 26 November, 2pm-3pm to find out more about the EOI process, the investment available and the alliance approach.

The briefing will be facilitated by Michael Phipps, VRU Lead and Jane Attfield, Funding Programmes Co-ordinator, Bolton CVS, who will be on hand to take your questions.
