Cracking Good Food have been working tirelessly to cook up donated and surplus food into tasty and nutritious meals and distribute them to the most vulnerable. This week alone, Cracking Good Food have fed people experiencing homelessness, children in food poverty, isolated asylum seekers and refugees, families in emergency accommodation and women in crisis.
Cracking Good Food recognised early on that one limitation to the impact they can make is available kitchen space. This week, they have secured the use of one of the University Of Manchester's commercial kitchens and will soon be able to significantly upscale the amount of cooking they do. The meals Cracking Good Food make will contribute to Manchester City Council's provision to combat food poverty during the pandemic.
