4 Oct 2019 - 13:52 by michelle.foster

Do you know someone who would love to work in a role, where you get to create and build in venues such as theatres, arts centres and studios?

The Factory Academy’s aim is to open up opportunities by creating entry level roles and development apprenticeships for technicians, producers, managers and front of house staff - roles that don't require formal further or higher educational qualifications.

The Factory Academy are excited to tell you, that the first opportunities available are paid Creative Venue Technician apprenticeships, and we have organised a series of information sessions on the 7 October that people can come along to, to find out more about accessing these vacancies.

If you know someone who would love to play an active part in:
• the technical operation across a variety of established creative venues such as theatres, arts centres and broadcast studios
• lighting, audio and scene changes
• set up, rig, operate, maintain and repair technical equipment as used in creative venues, to facilitate the rehearsal and presentation of live performance e.g. scenery, luminaires, fixtures, audio and video apparatus.
• using a variety of tools to assemble, install and maintain scenery and equipment for stage and screen.
