Greater Manchester Combined Authority is launching a new campaign to help Greater Manchester residents access support, advice, and potentially free upgrades to improve their homes.
The Feel the Benefit campaign aims to help residents understand what can be done to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, reducing their energy bills and making their homes warmer and greener.
The campaign has a particular goal of reaching residents who might not otherwise be supported or harder to reach residents e.g. the digitally excluded.
It builds on existing initiatives like the Energy Company Obligation and Your Home Better, streamlining grant eligibility through an online eligibility checker – a GMCA website where residents can enter details about their home and circumstances to find out if they are eligible for support – to provide a clearer pathway to home energy efficiency improvements.
The campaign is being run as part of a £2.14m initiative funded by the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero and the North West Net Zero Hub.
It will be a year-long campaign with 3 x four-week paid activity spikes (April, August, November).
