On Saturday 1 September 2018, Platt Fields Park will host a new festival, for the people of Manchester, by the people of Manchester. The Festival of Manchester (FOM) will embody all that’s great about being in Manchester and the festival is now recruiting for volunteers to assist with the delivery of the event.
It is a celebration of all the communities that make the diverse and vibrant city such a great place to live, work and play. Platt Fields Park’s lakeside area will be full of performances and activities and performances that reflect Manchester’s diverse communities.
It is anticipated it will be a fantastic fiesta for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, with an audience in excess of 20,000 people.
VOLUNTEER ROLES:
Stage management & artist liaison
- To assist at one of the activity/performance areas and enable the smooth running of the festival programme
Assisting the public as a source of information and handing out programmes
- You’ll be the public face of the festival
Market Research
- conducting a questionnaire helping us to gather information about the festival attendees
Full training on the day will be given for all three roles and you will be kept up to date on any changes.
