Heart Heroes is a project where The University of Manchester equip students to deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) sessions to other students, staff, and members of the community.
The sessions cover:
- Delivering effective CPR
- Using an AED
- How to help someone who is choking
- Putting someone in the recovery position
Do you think your team of staff or volunteers would benefit from a BLS training session? The University of Manchester are currently looking for local organisations interested in welcoming their trained student volunteers to run a session for their community.
Each session lasts between 45 minutes and two hours, and is a great way to help people feel more confident about what to do in an emergency. Sessions will be running from February to May.
If you’re interested, contact heartheroes@manchester.ac.uk to discuss arranging a session.
