The Heritage Lottery Fund has now begun a phased reopening of their project grants scheme – applications are now open for grants of £3,000 - £10,000 and £10,000 - £100,000. Applications for larger amounts will begin from 8 February 2021.
The application process and guidelines are much the same as they were previously – they are though particularly looking to fund projects with an emphasis on organisational resilience and inclusion, and their priorities are projects that:
- boost the local economy
- provide job creation and encourage skills development
- support local health and wellbeing
- encourage rebuilding community cohesion
Alongside the project grants stream, there is a new loan funding pilot, open to organisations who are current or previous recipients of HLF funding over £10,000 - if that applies to you, you could be eligible for an interest-free loan of up to £250,000 over up to 5 years.
