Inspire, Motivate and Engage are offering 200 charities a grant of over £5,000 of gift-in kind training

27 Mar 2014 - 12:55 by michelle.foster

At the end of last year, online training provider Inspire, Motivate & Engage (IME) conducted research with to explore the challenges facing them in 2014. This research highlighted that 92% of charities believe that creating career development opportunities is crucial to engage staff in 2014. However 85% explained that reduced budgets for training would make this difficult, negatively impacting staff recognition efforts, skills development and general professional performance.

In response to these findings, IME have decided to offer 200 charities a grant of over £5,000 in the form of gift-in kind training to their range of courses. Each beneficiary will have access to the full IME course range, and staff can choose the courses they wish to access at any time throughout the year.

Charities will only need to pay a small subscription of as little as £4.99 per employee per month (depending on the number of staff who receive the training) to cover access to the learning platform, and IME will cover the rest of the training costs.

What the charity training support package includes:

  • Access to a full selection of accredited courses
Staff can access their nationally accredited range of courses, including: Accredited Management and Leadership course (L4), Mini MBA Peak Performance and Productivity, Performance Coaching and more. Your charity can choose to receive 1-15 staff places per annum. The places can be used for staff and volunteer training.
  • 24/7 Access
Each employee will have access to their own online learner platform, so they can learn at their own pace 24/7. Because the courses are online, it means that staff wont need time out of the office to take part, also saving on travel costs.
  • Unlimited support
Charity partners receive full support from IME throughout the partnership term. Each beneficiary will have a main point of contact to assist staff at all times. Also staff have access to tutorial videos, course materials and support channels via their learner platform, such as the learner forum community and expert webinar coaching sessions.
  • Weekly training via live webinar sessions – Coaching your staff to excellence
Each week, your staff will have direct access to IME experts via the series of weekly webinars on offer. The webinars focus on module subjects and provide a deeper analysis to help maximise learning.
  • Nationally recognised accreditation
Staff will receive a national accreditation in their chosen course subject on completion of their course.

Your accreditation
The accreditation achieved through the course is provided by the Open College Network group, and is mapped to the levels of the national academic framework. Each Learner attains credits during the course, again equivalent to national standards, with one credit corresponding to 10 hours learning.

The credits achieved by each learner throughout the course are recognised by academic institutions and businesses across the country and can often be taken into account if a learner wishes to use their learning to offset if they choose to try to obtain a formal qualification in the subject.

The accreditation means that courses are:
• Quality assured for its excellence
• Externally moderated to ensure our training standards remain high
• And also allows learners to receive an accreditation and professional certificate on completion of the course to showcase their learning
