Manchester City Council are creating a new 10-year Cultural Strategy for Manchester for 2025-2035. This will be the basis for the city – in collaboration with residents, shareholders, cultural organisations and creatives – to re-imagine what makes our place distinctive and bring together activities and initiatives under a unified goal for Manchester.
The new strategy is being designed to benefit the people of the city who live here now and who will live here in the future.
Manchester City Council hope the strategy will lead to more accessible cultural programmes and initiatives that empower all communities and individuals to explore their talents and passions.
How you can get involved:
A consultation website has been created and on there you can download a toolkit which shows the number of ways communities can get involved – from a 5 minute survey for individuals to holding a workshop with groups.
Take part here: www.startwithaspark.co.uk
Deadline: 30 November 2023
To take part in a focus group email: [email protected]
The survey is available in a printed version and a number of translations and is also available in braille – all this information can be found within the toolkit including details on how to request them. There are two separate toolkits – one for adults and one for young people, these can easily be found on the website.
If you plan to hold an event there are printed postcards and posters available.
Manchester City Council are holding a number of events over the next month where they would really like to include and share your voices and opinions. Your contribution will make a huge impact on what is available to see, hear and do in Manchester for the next ten years.
